The Syrian authorities in Deir ez-Zor province announced on Monday the acceptance of former members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who wish to surrender. This announcement marks a significant step in the region's stabilization process, which has long been affected by terrorist activities. Local authorities emphasized that all individuals surrendering will be screened for any involvement in criminal acts. Following the screening, they will either be reintegrated into society or face legal proceedings. The authorities expressed hope that this move will encourage other fighters to lay down their arms.
